About OkForPets
OkForPets was created to give pet owners fast, practical answers to everyday questions: How much should I feed my dog? How big will my puppy get? My dog just ate chocolate: is it dangerous?
Most answers online are either generic ("feed according to the bag") or buried in long articles. We turn established veterinary formulas and published toxicity data into interactive calculators that adjust to your pet's weight, age and situation.
What we do
- Feeding and calorie calculators based on the resting energy requirement (RER) formula used in veterinary nutrition.
- Food safety guides for dogs and cats, with weight-based treat limits and toxicity checks.
- Plant toxicity ratings for cats and dogs, based on the ASPCA toxic and non-toxic plant lists.
- "My pet ate…" emergency guides that explain how urgent a situation is and what to do while you contact your vet.
- Growth and age tools for puppies, dogs and cats.
What we don't do
We don't diagnose or treat. Our tools give estimates for general education. If your pet is unwell or has eaten something toxic, contact your veterinarian or an animal poison control service immediately.
